false alarm!

on tuesday afternoon i started having painful contractions--the kind where you cannot walk. i got my kids to bed ("K" was at a meeting) and sat down to time them. they were close together and getting more intense. when "k" got home i told him that i thought we should go in. when i we got there and got all hooked up we saw that the contractions were every 6 minutes and some of them quite intense. after being checked (by a busy doctor--that is not fun--it hurt like heck!!!!!!), urine sample, and 4 hours of being monitored--we headed home. i was at a 1. the contractions are still going--but thanks to some pills they are not quite so intense or frequent. this little one needs to stay in for a few more weeks!
boy has the nesting phase kicked in!

Yay that it's getting so close! I hope you post pictures when she gets here.

It's so exciting that the time is getting close because we can't wait to meet this little one and give her lots of love. Just remind her that she needs to wait a little longer so that she does not make her grand entrance when her aunties are out of town... yes, I know, totally selfish :-)

Hi Di-good luck in the coming days! Is the baby a girl? I am assuming it is from auntie's comment. That is SO exciting. :) Take care!

yes! we are actually having a girl! at least we hope it is a girl. the boys are positive that it is "joshua!" hopefully with all of the ultrasounds that we have had the doctors are correct (and not the bo¥s!)

You know though that if it is a boy he will be loved so very very much, so all will still be well :-) However, I'm not sure what he would think of a purple nursery.
