i love children's literature. i am so passionate about reading to my children. they have not missed a day of reading in their little lives. i grew up in a home where reading was such a huge part of our lives--in fact, all 3 of us girls worked at the library in our hometown when we were in Jr. High and High School. after speaking with some of my friends i decided that i would host a little storytime each week at our ward building. i love reading to my own kids and loved reading to my students when i was at ricks doing my student teaching. i hope that this will be a successful activity and the kiddos will enjoy some good books.

Wow. Good for you. You rock.
LOVE IT! Keep me posted. I got Jeffrey set up to be tested in the next few weeks for early intervention. Thanks for all the info. I think it will be really good for him, and if he doesn't need it? At least I will know.
Good for you Di! That is so awesome. I too have always read to my children and boy has it paid off. Kelsey (7th grade) reads on a 12th grade level and ALWAYS has a book in her face, and Zack (3rd grade) is reading on a late 5th grade level. He too loves to read!
I just took a job at an alternative high school in the writing lab. It makes me so sad to see high school students reading and writing on an elementary student level.
Keep up the great work!!!
We'e love to come. Keep us posted!
What a fun thing..I hope it takes off!
